West Farm Corn Maze

Stryker & I, along with our friends from the Charleston Mommies, headed out to West Farm (http://www.westfarmcornmaze.com) to check out their fall festivities. We weren't extra curious this year and skipped the Corn Maze (I mean, can YOU imagine dragging all these kiddos through that thing!). We had lots of fun enjoying the other attractions though!

The petting zoo is always a hit and they kids saw chickens, goats, a huge pig, cows and a horse. I was too busy keeping up with Stryker to get many pictures of him and the animals, but some of our other friends were good subjects!

After the petting zoo, we headed over to wait in line for the hay ride. The kiddos were super excited to ride behind the tractor around the corn maze!

Maddoc, Kendall, all the kids waiting patiently, Three Stooges

And finally it was our turn! It was well worth the wait and everyone enjoyed the hay ride. It was such a beautiful day!

Next we ventured over to the decorate your own pumpkin table. Stryker quickly found the perfect pumpkin to paint and got to work.

The Perfect Pumpkin has to be just right!

 Trying to sneak in another!

 Excited to start painting

Then quickly deciding Mama Paparazzi was not cool

While we waited for our pumpkins to dry, we headed over for a photo op and to do some ball bouncing.

I'd say the day was a success and the kids all had lots of fun! Can't wait until next year!

Derrick's Birthday!

Today we helped our friend Derrick celebrate his 3rd birthday.

He had his party at the Big Toy Playground at Mt Pleasant Palmetto Island County Park. It was the first time we had ever been to this county park and it was a lot of fun! Two great things this Mommy enjoyed #1: LOTS of shade (and it was hot so it was welcomed!)! #2: The mesh ground surface of the playground (for other Mommies of Dare Devils!).

The boys (and a couple girls ;)) went right to playing, sliding, swinging, chasing, screaming... The usual three year old playground behavior. I'm pretty sure they never skip a beat when it comes to play time!

There was so much to do, Stryker couldn't decide on what to do next! He practiced his monkey bar skills,

Climbed to the top of a large rock,

Did some more sliding,

Got dizzy on this thing (whatever it is!),

And I was lucky enough to have him pose for one picture with me (Game Day! Go Tigers!)!

After a lot of their energy had be expended, we settled down at the picnic tables for pizza, cake & gifts. These boys are too cute!

It's safe to say that our little man LOVED this park! Hopefully we can go back soon!

We hope you had a VERY special 3rd Birthday D! Thanks for inviting us!

Happy Birthday to Poppa!

We took a road trip to Aiken this past weekend to help celebrate Poppa's birthday with him and the family! We had a great time Saturday relaxing and enjoying a cook out with Granny, Aunt Lorie, Peyton, Nana & Poppa, Logan & Katie. We ate good food and then it was time for cake & presents... of course the boys liked those parts the best!

You know the boys were anxiously awaiting present opening time. They were excited to help Poppa get started!

After present fun, Aunt Lorie and Peyton had to head back home to Columbia. Mommy & Daddy went out in downtown Aiken that night while Granny, Nana & Poppa entertained Stryker (or maybe the other way around ;)).

The next day, Nana made us a huge breakfast and we made plans to go check out the Augusta Riverwalk. We all loaded up my car and drove the 30 minutes over. It was such a beautiful day! Our first site was a train loading on the tracks. Stryker loved that!

The Riverwalk features a playground for children, gardens, an ampitheater and museums. It is truley a beauiful area!

Stryker had fun on the playground.

We walked around for awhile then headed out to find lunch. After lunch with the family, it was time for Granny & us to hit the road. We had such a fun weekend at Nana & Poppa's. Thanks for letting us stay! Happy Birthday Poppa! We love you!
